Well it had
to happen one year. The early Easter was bad enough, but
the weather made it worse and sadly the Easter Show was
not quite what it usually is.
Trevor Perry
Chairman of the Event said "Thankfully the next early
Easter isn't for a hundred years. The weather this year
was awful and we must give a great big thank you to the
public and traders who did make the effort to wrap up
warm and join us. You were a select crowd!"
The show
continued despite the weather and four teams from
Earlex, Cane Adam, Merrow Explorers and Eagle Radio
battled it out all afternoon for the It's a Knock Out
Trophy. CaneAdams took the top prize.
The show was
opened by the Mayor, Mike Nevins and President of
Guildford Lions Jeff Harkman.
Attractions
included the Ramsay Caledonian Pipe Band braving the
weather in kilts, Tug of War being filmed for the BBC, a
large classic car display and a car boot sale.
