Easter Monday 9th April 2012

 I am writing to tell you about an exciting event that is taking place on Easter Monday 9^th April 2012 in Shalford Park, Guildford, and to invite you to participate as a trader.

Following the success of last year’s Easter event, we have decided to enlarge and enhance proceedings in 2012.

Last year’s event attracted approximately 2000 people and we confidently expect those numbers to increase in 2012 for this prestigious event.

This time we are creating a ‘Lions St Catherine’s Hill Fayre’.

Such fayres were held annually during the 18^th and 19^th centuries in Guildford and were of huge historical significance to the town.  We are attempting to recreate some of the excitement, variety and atmosphere, but with a 21^st century flavour.

Our Fayre will consist of a Farmer’s Market, Fun Dog Show, Easter Egg Hunt, Tug of War and Classic Cars, as well as a Car Boot Show and Children’s Entertainments.

The Fayre will be extensively publicised locally, using banner boards, leaflets, press advertising and PR, with links into local radio.

Proceeds from the Fayre will be used by the Guildford Lions to support various local charities that include helping young people, the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as other local worthy causes.
