We completed our trip
around the world in just 27h 42m in an incident free
trip journey that was 1,477 mile long. The Mazad6
Tamura kindly loaned to us by
Guildford
Mazda ran trouble free, handled well and was
very comfortable. Here is our report but also some
FAQs that have been asked.

Our trip
started at midday on Saturday 20th
October as part of Lions Awareness Week.
We were sent
on our way by Club President Jeff
Harkman and the Mayor of Guildford Cllr
Mike Nevis. |

Our first
stop was just outside Guildford at
Normandy (infamous in the recent foot
and mouth disease outbreak). And yes the
sign at the back does refer to Christmas
Pie, also nearby. |

Planning
trips like this takes many months and we
hadn't reckoned on it being half term
(or the rugby!) We were held up for
quite some time on the run down to
Canada near Southampton with heavy
traffic on the M3 and M27. |

Our next
stop was Egypt shown on the maps as
being to the north of Winchester, near
Sutton Scotney. However whilst the
location had some houses there was
nothing to refer to Egypt, so we took a
picture of a Sutton Scotney sign..

Palestine
was not too far away and a trip down the
A30 and across country soon found the
village which is near Thruxton Motor
Circuit. |
